The West Hants Club is one of the leading LTA High Performance Centres (HPCs) in the country, situated on the south coast in Bournemouth. Along with 7 other centres in Great Britain, The West Hants Club was awarded HPC status by the LTA in 2004. There are now 4 International HPCs and 18 HPCs in the UK. The award was in recognition of the Club’s ability to provide performance juniors with top quality tennis, fitness and support programmes within excellent facilities, combined with an outstanding and high quality coaching team. Our programmes are carefully designed to meet the needs of each individual performance player to maximise their potential.
To maintain HPC status the club has to meet certain criteria which include:
 Programme structure and interdisciplinary planning
 Player base
 Tennis, strength and conditioning implementation
 Competitive structure and tournament support
 Educational links
The Club provides access to indoor courts, offers training on performance surfaces all year round (clay and acrylic), an on-site gym and sports science support. A team of highly qualified and experienced tennis and strength & conditioning staff have a proven track record of developing Junior performance players at all age groups.

The High Performance Centre is at the pinnacle of the programme which is underpinned by a continually expanding schools and Mini Tennis programme, attracting increasing numbers of players under the age of 10 into the game. The club also provides an all year round programme for both social and recreational players through courses and pay and play sessions.
Satellite Clubs
As a High Performance Centre the West Hants Club also acts as a hub, supporting a network of Satellite Clubs in the surrounding area. The West Hants Club is linked with several Satellite Clubs across Dorset and Hampshire. These Satellite Clubs focus primarily on talent development for performance players under the age of 12. Satellite Clubs are key to the development of British Tennis as they are responsible for the development of up and coming young players and feeding them into High Performance Centres across the country.
